Direct Report

Warehouse Manager  

Position Summary

Safe and timely shipping, distribution, storing, packaging, and otherwise transporting of inventory.  Assist with all warehouse related functions including pack-outs and assembly.

Work Focus

  •  Inspect incoming inventory and equipment for quality before storing and rerouting.
  •  Use moving equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to safely and efficiently move inventory around the warehouse.
  •  Handle loading/unloading and picking operations.
  •  Keep the warehouse premises clean and neat.
  •  Prepare and verify shipping documents.
  •  Packaging inventory for safe shipping
  •  Ensure delivery schedule is maintained and promptly alert Warehouse Manager or Warehouse Coordinator if a delay occurs or is likely.
  •  Perform periodic physical inventory checks to ensure the accuracy of database information and minimize the risk of inventory issues.
  •  Monitoring inventory by completing counts as required, internal inventory support
  •  Documents actions by completing forms, report, logs, and records.
  •  Mark items using specific labeling instructions
  •  Unpack, pack, and assemble items within the warehouse
  •  Keep records of all received items, noting any signs of damage
  •  Support Warehouse Manager and provide feedback on weekly status meeting.
  •  Other duties as assigned including, but not limited to, special reports and projects, back-up assistance to other employees or departments, and light janitorial work.

Performance Measures

  • Company revenue & profitability:  Budgeted revenue & profitability goal.
  • Performance appraisals:  2x yearly performance appraisals by WM
  • Standards:  Maintaining & performing to TCG standards.

Team Collaboration

  • Warehouse Manager:  Coaching & compliance, resolution management
  • Warehouse Coordinator/Program Manager:  Project implementation, resolution management

 

Experience and Skills:

Skills & Attributes

  • 1-5 years experience in the logistics field
  • At least 1 year experience in warehouse setting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Experience with inventory software and control systems a plus
  • Customer focused, integrity and trust, high attention to detail
  • Flexibility and the ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, growing, changing environment. Propensity to work hard and smart.
  • Live within a reasonable commute of Aurora, IL office.
  • All potential warehouse employees must pass a background check, drug test, and communicate in English proficiently.
  • Position pays $13-$15/hour with full benefits, paid time off, paid holidays
